The Oil Spill and The Statist Pig

Does anybody else have the slightly uncomfortable feeling that the Obama Regime will use the gulf oil spill to start talking about nationalizing the energy/oil industry? I listen to him speak about it and am left with an ill feeling about the whole thing. Maybe it's just me.....but this is what socialist leaders do as soon as they can, (and the car companies are already theirs.) Something to think about...

When Pennies had buying power

Do you still remember how they tasted? Sen Sens would last a month. You could actually carry a pack of candy cigarettes in your shirt pocket in grade school and have one at recess on the school play grounds.

Another Freedom garden

Our landlord supplied us with both land and seeds (they have family/friends in the seed business, so they are dripping in them) so we planted our garden and things are going so well that today we harvested radishes and planted lettuce and celery.

Makinze helped out until she was banned from the garden for stepping on the zucchini plants. The weather has finally broken and it should be bright and sunny for the remainder of the weekend. The garden is exploding and we are having a great time working it. On a different note, we are still looking forward to the Cool Desert Nights and will keep everybody posted. We love and miss you all.

SUMMER HAMMOCK

This is where I would want to sleep all summer long. Found this hammock in Lund Nevada. When we were kids ( on the farm ) we would sleep outside on the back porch of the old farm house. It wasn't just one night, it was from the day school let out for the summer until school started in the fall. On one night an earthquake in Yellowstone Park shook our bed across the porch. Living the good life!!!!!
