The Pink Cadillac

My mother bought a new Pink Cadillac, just like the one at the car show. On the 4th of July that year my brother and I (we were young teens) stuck a cherry bomb in a kerr jar full of gray paint, lit the fuse that was sticking through a hole in the lid. We threw it on the roof of the garage and waited for the explosion. When it blew it rained down grey specks, covering her new car. Thank the lord for turpentine. We will be going home Tuesday. The car show was cool, but not enough Rat Rods. Too many puritans can't break away from the norm. I think we are going to the river tonight and see if the boat will run. Baby Valerie is now 6 weeks old, she is not so brittle and dainty now so we can handle her like a cute rag doll.

Swap Meet at Tautphaus Park

I have two brothers. My oldest brother (Blaine) is in Africa. My younger brother (Steve) drove my 39 Ford truck to the swap meet. I drove the green 23T. Good times at the park.

First Summer Picnic

Holley and her friend John came up for Beer Fest. What do you do when family shows up? You have a BBQ in granny's back yard. Julia has a nasty chest cold but we walked the river this morning and had a great feast this afternoon. Sam leaves tomorrow morning for DC. He's one of the chosen few from History class who will get to tour Washington and the Smithsonian.
