Grand Canyon Caverns

In 1927 Walter Peck finds a hole in the ground a few miles from Peach Springs AZ.
The vertical hole leads to a series of caves 21 stories below the surface. The
Grand Canyon Caverns are dry caves, which means there is no moisture inside, which means there are no insects, bats or any other creatures inside. Before Walter found the caverns however a couple creatures fell down through the opening. A Bobcat fell in around 1850 and a prehistoric Giant Sloth(who knows when?).

We meet under the Dinosaur skull before riding the elevator 21 stories below.

You can spend the night down under if you wish. It has all the amenities. Pricey!

It was deemed a fallout shelter in the 1960's. Note the survival supplies in one room.

Blue Grass Festival

Our second Blue Grass Festival

Julia loves the festival. They play the music of her time (civil war).

I enjoy the colorful people who come to the Festival.
