Two blocks away

River Front Dr. is only two blocks from our rental,on the banks of the Colorado (Arizona side). Wealthy people have bought the small trailer plots on the river. They build up and back to the river. There are no lawns, just narrow walled walkways back to the terraces and main quarters.

It's all upper crust up river from this sign.

The garages are the front of the homes. Notice the beautiful wooden garage doors.

The river flows past the back of these homes. Some of these homes have three levels of terraces and a boat launch.

I like the Spanish terracotta designs.

The square footage adds up with the depth of these estates.

One of my favorites. Notice the small trailer that sets  between two high dollar villas. His property is worth a few dollars for sure.

                                                                   Metal palm trees.

I love these finished wood doors. They are tall to house RV's and pontoon boats.

This is a gated compound with 3 huge homes/tennis courts/swimming pool.
Close to our rental is a small double wide with a terraced shelter (for an RV) It has a nice little rock boarder.

Overview of the Winter Quarters

Julie asked me to give her a overview of our location.

We live on Roadrunner Dr. but we don't have a mail box, therefore we don't receive mail.

This is looking west down Roadrunner. If you could keep going you would go into the Colorado river.

976 Roadrunner Dr. The mail box is 975 our next door neighbor who is from northern Idaho. We have yet to meet them.

This is a view east towards the town of Bullhead.

This is the neighbor across the street. He has a real house (not modular). They usually build a real house when they remove a modular.

This is what I see out of my bedroom window.

This is the back yard. We have a dish network.

This is the main door. There is another door on the other side where we empty the trash. We have two trash cans, one for garbage and one for recyclable paper and plastic.

What you see when you walk in to the place.

Julia in the kitchen making Minestrone soup.

Our dining table/computer work station area/general assembly area/Christmas tree stand table.

Hallway to the bed and bathrooms.

                                                                           House decor.

Julia,s bedroom. Enid will share this room in January before they go to Belize.

This is the bedroom I use. It has a TV and a bathroom.  First come first serve.

                                                          Blaine and Dawn's bedroom.

Laundry room, has a spare fridge and the microwave is in here. Door on the right to the garbage cans.

Living room with nice furniture. Carpet throughout the house, except in the bathrooms.

The owners left a basket of fruit and a bottle of Cupcake wine as a welcome to our home.

I like this little metal lizard centerpiece.

Breakfast and news in the morning and then I am off to a HARD ASS day of backbreaking labor.

OUT and ABOUT

First day on a golf coarse in Bullhead. This is a 9 hole coarse all par 3 fairways. However, there are steep hills, sand traps and little lakes in abundance through out the coarse. It is called River view Golf coarse.

Julia is waiting to play the 1st hole. She could drive to the greens on several holes.

                                                       Some areas are very steep.

The wind was blowing 25 mph. The Canadian cold front is headed this way. We are going to get down into the 50s for the highs the rest of the week.

We had 70 deg. weather today but the wind cooled things off.

                                                              Life is good.

Life in Arizona

Spent Saturday night in Vegas. We stayed at the newly remodeled  Downtown Grand. The room was really nice. The casinos were crowded for the Thanksgiving Weekend.

Arrived in Bullhead city Sunday at 11:00am. Met the home owners, got a tour of the house and settled in for the winter.

Evening in Laughlin.

The Christmas season seems weird in Arizona.
