Well the Christmas eve movie marathon was a wash. We suffered through Reds 2. From that point we decided to screen through the rest of the movies. We found one that was worthy of our tepid attention.
Christmas day was basically laid back, however we did walk the Laughlin river walk way. We went to Don Laughlin's Riverside Casino and ate at the Buffet.
Riverside Buffet
Christmas Dinner Buffet— holiday items include:
•carving station with roast beef and baked ham;
•entrĂ©es include salmon in lemon dill sauce, veal piccata, shrimp
scampi, pork ribs, beef goulash, baked cranberry orange chicken, lamb
mint demi, Seafood Newburg;
•Deli bar with variety of meats, cheeses, breads;
•variety of side dishes;
•variety of salads;
•variety of holiday desserts at the pastry station—$14.99
After the buffet we spent too much time at the Keno parlor and could not make it to the River Palms in time for bingo, so we came home early on Christmas day. Julia and I watched the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas special. We all ran out of steam and went to bed fairly early.
I took a picture of a mobile dog grooming service that stopped at the neighbors house across the street. All their dogs got shampooed and groomed for the Holidays.
The park walk was pleasant today, no wind to speak of. That is rare here, usually blows about 20 mph every day.
The skate park was loaded with kids enjoying the Holiday school break.
A little history for Tara. A lot of people including me hardly take the time to read historical markers.
We are hoping to get down to Brad,s around the 1st. of January. We also want to swing by Tuscon and visit the Desert Museum.
