The Desert Museum

This was a very rewarding experience. I am glad Val suggested we go. On the way we picked Brad up since he had 2days off from work.

The re-bar on these signs was definitely heavy duty.

                                                             Humming birds closeup,

                                                                        Huge Aloe plant.

This doesn't make sense. Asparagus from an Agave plant. Needs some research.

May become the Russell family bird.  It definitely has the character.

Ami look what we found in the sand.

Inside this mine were huge rooms of gem exhibits geological information.

It is a bit blurry but this is actually a rock from the moon.

Julia didn't hold back, she worked her way through the narrow dark cavern. Believe me they were dark, this light was from my camera flash.

Leaving the museum at the end of the day.

A beautiful sunset on the  drive back to Casa Grande where we stayed at a run down Motel 6 but dinner was good at a diner next door.

Brad's dog (Karen) was glad to see return after our trip.

Brad painted the wall next to his house, his neighbors were not impressed with the color.
