I tore into my 1950 Chevy Truck. Meaning to re-grease the front bearings and adjust the brakes, I found (not surprised) several problems. The Master Cylinder needed honed out, but worked fine. The front wheel bearings were good, but the drivers side spindle is junk. I did not want to pull out the front axle just to press out the King Pin in the spindle. I built a Field Press that bolted to the spindle. It worked just fine and I was able to press out the King Pin. I patted myself on the back most of the day Yesterday. Sometimes I am not the Unluckiest Bastard in the World.
This Spindle is toast. I found a good one on Ebay.
I also found a new King Pin set on Ebay.
