A typical morning around the dining table in Bullhead. 20 years ago it would be newspapers.

Leading up to Halloween

Visited another money trap Pumpkin Farm.
Hey! the kids loved it.

The kids rode the wheels off the train.

The reward at day's end.

Things to do next SUMMER

I have never been on Table Rock. I had no idea how beautiful the view was.
So my challenge to myself and all my family in the area and outside of the area,
("Lets hike up to Table Rock next summer")

Chad and Brad did it this summer. Now I am getting stoked to go.

Last Garden Offering

Fall is in full swing. We have had a couple hard frosts.
The garden is barren except for one patch of Swiss Chard.
This stuff is incredibly hardy and can withstand freezing temperatures.
If you don't til it under, it will be growing in the spring.

I have been chopping it up in the ninja shredder. I blend in egg whites and dried flake peppers and make Green Omelets. They are outstanding,

Fold it over on Salsa. And now we are eating like Kings.

The Washington Experience

I have been planning a road trip in the 23T bucket all summer with anticipation and hesitation. After a lot of work on the car I deemed it roadworthy. A window of opportunity finally opened up on Sept 20th. It was a warm sunny fall day and I headed out via Boise and Yakima to Buckley WA. I made a wooden frame with a canvas tarp to cover up extra gas cans and a firearm. It just fit in the pickup bed on the T. When I reached Mt. Home, my confidence confirmed I would finish the trip without a breakdown.

I reached Pendleton Or. just before sunset. There I would hookup with Val and spend the night at Motel 6. Val got in at 11:00pm. She left her purse home and had to go back after driving 100 miles and pick it up.

From Yakima I took the road over Chinook pass. It was an amazing road trip, one I will never forget.

At this point I am in the middle of a National Park where firearms are illegal. But hey it seems the government turns a blind eye to anything illegal in this country.

I reached Ben & Rachel's home early Sunday afternoon.
One of my goals here was to build a Trundle bed for Valerie. She loved her bed. She will love more when her parents buy her mattresses.

I walked Boo every day in the wooded neighborhood. The people here seem very private. No trespassing signs everywhere. I was stopped once on a gravel road by one of the locals. They wanted to know what I was doing and if I planned on walking around in the woods. Washington is a very Liberal state. I am sure they will welcome all the illegals coming into America, however stay off their property and don't walk down their gravel roads. HAVE A NICE DAY!

Interesting property owner. I didn't check to see if there was a rotted corpse inside. I am sure if there would
have been one, it would have come to life and told me to "get the hell off my property"

Ben & Rachel took us to Rainer National Park. You cannot take a bad picture here.

We got off the marked (do not leave) path. and saw the river flow from under the glacier.

I took a serlfi to prove I was actually there in front of this great Volcano.

The path up to paradise view point was incredibly steep. This was one of only two flatter surfaces.

Like all things it came to an end. It is an hour and a half back to Ben's home. Supper was pulled pork hoagies. Val & I left Monday morning and got home at 2:00am today.  Thanks Ben & Rachel for the good times.

Still a few good days.

The weather is changing but there are still a few good days
to enjoy some target practice.

Sam qualifies for his Pro Marksman patch.

All around productive enjoyable day.
