Happy Winter is Here from the Northernmost Russell-Nash's

Augusta is angry because she wants the purple parka that Fran is wearing (it was Gus's last year) and perhaps angry she has to wear Ami's un-feminine plain black snowsuit....I tried to make it right by letting her wear the coveted owl hat...but it didn't matter.....
We have about 7 inches of hell flakes littering the JBER/Anchorage area tonight. It sucks. Love, Tara

Cash for Candy

After a successful night of Trick or Treating a mother makes an effort to save her children's teeth from cavities. She pays them off with cash for their candy. Remarkably the stash of candy ends up here. AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Saying goodbye to Harley

She fought the good fight. Today she couldn't eat and she was totally blind. She was a walking skeleton. Val and I took her to the Vet and they put her down. Val took it especially hard since Harley was her favorite animal. We buried her next to her old pal Sydney, she will be missed.

Trick or Treat in the old neighborhood

Val made it happen. She put together some cool treats for the little zombies. We had a bunch of kids this year, probably because of the recession. They looked hungry.

Saying goodbye to the 63 Ambulance

Every time I looked at the Ambulance in the back yard, I thought about Brad and the boys terrorizing the neighborhood with the lights flashing and the siren screaming. All the neighbor kids called it a Ghost Buster car. Good times! Well we pushed it out of the dead end yesterday. It took 2 cans of green slime to keep the tires inflated. It is waiting for a transport to take it to it's new home. Benton put it on Craig's List a couple weeks ago and got a buyer. A doctor who lives in Hawaii and California bought it. He collects Ambulances and the 63 is his favorite year. Another memory has left the back yard.

IN THE MOOD

We have these wooden model puppets that can be shaped to reflect a mood. It has become a game now to see who can be the most creative in tragedy. Good Times!
