Thanksgiving at the neighbors

The family is still cruising the Atlantic. I was fortunate enough to get a (Thanksgiving) dinner invite from the neighbors next door

Here are the gracious hosts, Larry & Fay

They served a huge Ham with all the Thanksgiving trimmings.

The dog got a big plate also.

It's about time to have that leg removed.

Uncle Ben made my work easy. I am taking advantage of the Huzenlaub Process which makes cooking this rice easy. Gordon L. Harwell, an entrepreneur who had supplied rice to the armed forces in World War II, chose the name Uncle Ben’s as a means to expand his marketing efforts to the general public. "Uncle" was a common appellation used in the Southern United States to refer to older male Black slaves or servants.[13]

Sunny Sunday Thanksgiving countdown

It is Sunday sunny and windy. Im listening to 70's music on the dish network.
The family is in Miami and off to Bermuda Monday. I will vacation in Bullhead, thank you.
I went to Laughlin yesterday to walk the river walkway. There was a small car show in front of the Golden Nugget.  Bling (show quality) cars lack my full attention because they are usually professionally done.
Owners, not all but most do not invest 100% hands on time in these vehicles.
I have always loved chrome. On a Bling car or a Rat it needs to shine. This 1956 Merc. turned my head.
Like a golden pecan waffle dripping with melted butter and maple syrup.

This 1956 Mercury oozed with decadent coolness.

Here are a few more high dollar hotrods.

This is the foyer inside the Golden Nugget.

Am I enjoying the winter weather here? Oh hell yes!

Winter rears it's ugly head Bullhead City

Well not the winters we are having back home, but it is uncomfortable today.
We will be in the 40's tonight and the daytime temperatures are in the low 60's.
The wind is blowing like hell. Our patio table is in pieces.
Below are pictures from a better time earlier last week.

Every golf coarse here has a variety of wildlife.

The walk to Davis Dam from the Riverside parking lot is 2 1/2 miles. It is a very pleasant hike.

The reservoir is low. Lake Mead is almost a river. I hear California is sucking mud.

 Yah! I took a selfi.

I am now a member of the Tri State Gun Range. Blaine and I have shot there 3 times now. Here I am cleaning my 45 on the patio table. This is the same table that was destroyed last night in a wind storm.

Veterans Celebration

Veterans Day is a big deal in Bullhead City and the surrounding area.
There are many veterans who Snowbird in this area.

Even a trapper came by from the Colorado River.

The fellow in the 61Ford lives on Riverside Dr. three blocks down. He was the one who told us about the parade and all the festivities that were going on. The Vietnam traveling wall is set up at the Tropicana in Laughlin. We will go over this afternoon to see it along with free Country music on the deck of the Colorado Bell.

They haven't outlawed the Rat's yet.

Car vetts everywhere here. There is a big Vett club in the area.

Local high school band.

What would a parade be without Shriners. In this case there was just one and as you can see, he was traveling around.

Very Patriotic with American flags everywhere.
Elvis was also represented. He happened to be one of the few Patriotic Celebrities. Possibly one of a handful.

These 2 sweet ladies gave me a cool baseball cap.

Proud to be an American!
